Landscape of rare beauty, set between the high mountains where the Sousa river flows. In this place is «Boca do Inferno» (Hell’s mouth), with particular geological characteristics and covered with great mysticism.

The place of "Senhora do Salto" allows for moments of quietness, freshness and its cliffs allow the practice of rappel and mountain climbing.

Despite the existence of a valley with steep slopes, it is possible to have a long distance view if we climb to the slope of Santa Iria Mountain.

This area is part of the "Natura 2000" network, protecting the natural habitats and species.

Cruzeiro

Location: Serra do Muro

The «cruzeiro» (cross), placed in the southern slope of Serra do Muro, is considered a belvedere due to the extended landscape which can be seen here. This view, including the seaside, can be reached by several spots from the mountain.

This mountain is classified as Public Interest Site - Mountain of Muro de Vandoma.

Santiago Mountain

The existence of a sanatory, in the past, is related with the magnificent natural conditions and the fresh air that one could breathe there. Nowadays, Santiago Mountain still grants a delightful natural setting, as well a view over the valley.

Next to the southern slope of Santiago Valley one can find the homonymous chapel, wich its churchyard and a water fountain inviting the visitor to a nice pause, mainly in the Summer.
